Balloon pilots need to be calculating max temperature and lift before each flight. Not only is it important for safe flights, it’s something the FAA is looking at during a ramp check. At the August General Meeting, Barbara Fricke, reviewed how to use the AAAA Weight and Temp Calculator to calculate these important numbers. She also showed off some new reference cards available for free from AAAA, to keep track of those calculations. Check out the video and get the cards under Committees/Education/Resources.
