We’re into the month of June and here’s a look ahead at the planned activities.

Flying Events – Monthly competition on Saturday, June 10, at the “Joe Harris” site. Check-in starts at 5:30, with the pilot briefing at 6. Make sure your documents are up to date in PAD and if you attend, complete the Crew Certificate before noon that day. PAD will be sending more specifics and document status notices on Monday.

Crew Development plans to hold a crew game at the June Flying Event. Make plans to participate. Learn the details at the pilot briefing.

Don’t forget the FAA is seeking additional public comment on the rule that would allow drones to have the right-of-way over all aircraft, including balloons. The comment period closes June 14. See information elsewhere on the website or on BFA.net.

The AAAA Board is conducting a membership survey. They are looking for your input by noon on June 19. Take the survey today at https://aaaaballoon.club/membersurvey23

Our monthly meeting is June 27, at the Balloon Museum and on Zoom. One of our members will be receiving the Wright Brothers award.

Many of our members will be traveling to out-of-town events this month. Good Luck if it’s a competition, and as always fly, drive, and participate safely.
