The FAA today announced it’s going to extend the time an aircraft registration is valid from 3 years to 7 years. And it’s going to be retro-active to any current registration. Read the FAA document for more info.
UPDATE: The rule has been published and the extensions go into effect on January 23, 2023. If you have a current registration on that date, your expiration date will be automatically extended by 4 years! Note, you probably won’t get a new paper registration with the new date. We’ll update PAD to reflect your new registration expiration date on January 23.
