In addition to regular club business, our program will be Ken Tuley talking about the Pilot Aircraft Database (PAD) that he has devised to streamline the process of collecting ALL the data that are required under the 2020 AAAA/FAA Waiver to allow AAAA to conduct waivered competitions. If AAAA does NOT have all these data on file for a pilot, that pilot is not legal to fly in an AAAA event under the waiver. We will use PAD for the first time for November’s waivered flying event and it will become the standard for 2021. PAD has many features that help the pilot keep track of their eligibility and currency. It is easy to use and it generates a “badge” and status indicator to speed the login process on the morning of the flying event. Once entered, the data stay on file permanently and PAD issues a reminder when data need to be updated.
